Katelyn Kahn is a multi-disciplinary creator based in New York City.

born under scorpio skies and raised in Laredo, Texas, she was immersed in a culture full of great food, various artistic festivals, and community engagement.

she recently graduated from NYU Tisch School of the arts with a BFA in Drama. during her time There, she learned how to hone her passions of acting, directing, writing, design and creation.

Katelyn has trained at Playwrights HOrizons Theater School, Stonestreet studios, The Lee strasberg Film & Theater Institute, and Tisch’s Stanislavski, Brecht, and Beyond program in Berlin, Germany.

Similar to her favorite film Amélie, she cultivates a particular taste for the small pleasures of life:

Collecting restaurant postcards, receipts, stickers, and intriguing scraps of paper to turn into collages in her room.

finding random tiny objects to turn into earrings (the last one was a Nintendo DS cartridge…ask her what game it was!)

De-corking (not popping) a bottle of sparkling wine

Singing in a shower that has a great echo system

Listening to film scores before watching them

Her work consists of chaotic good and lawful evil; no in-between. She has a thirst for exploring the unexpected details inside a circumstance and the rawness of self-expression. Some key figures of her creations focus on inclusivity of all body-types, bodies of water, LGBTQ+ themes, and classical music.

She has had the honor of performing at The tank nyc, Playwrights Horizons Downtown, and the edinburgh fringe festival.
